Transgender Movements

Hello, my name is Zoe, and I am interested in the T of LGBTQ. I am going to research the social aspects of the transgender lifestyle and how people have worked to promote tolerance and acceptance of people who have changed their gender identity from birth. This page will seek to understand the transformation of transgender rights over the past several decades, and how society views the transgender community today. I will seek to evaluate the perceptions of various people on what the trans* label includes and what is necessary about it. I will also study the policies and political actions taken and what has resulted from these. Finally, I will focus on the media influence and response of scholars to these various influences.
